Position Responsibilities (B3-1/location – Wall Township, NJ)
• Provide support for troubleshooting LAB outages. Support LAB equipment installation &
migration, including proper & clean labeling & cabling to support state-of-the-art LAB
• Build, automate and support mission critical, highly secure and highly available large-scale
infrastructure.
• Collaborate with other teams and resolve outstanding technical issues.
• Actively participate in qualification process of existing & new orchestration platforms and
solutions.
• Collaborate in the design, implementation, and deployment of successful software applications in
support of our Orchestration platforms.
• Create as-built design documents & database entries for new equipment installed in LAB and/or
circuits. Keep-to-date LAB inventories, Design Document & Diagrams
• Deploy/Configure/Manage OpenStack cloud in x86 servers.
• Write necessary Python scripts OR build python application to deploy/move VMs from one cloud
to another.
• Deploy/Configure VNFs in open cloud environment.
• Research new DevOps tools to be implemented across multiple teams within Programmable
Technology group.
• Other duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements
• Proven track record of success in installation and maintenance of LINUX-based software.
• Experience in Networking Protocols (DHCP, DNS, VPN etc.) and Network elements like Routers,
Switches, Firewalls etc.
• Knowledge of telecommunications and networking technologies (TCP/IP, Ethernet, IP/MPLS,
VPN, SDWAN, etc...)
• Linux systems administration experience (Ubuntu, RHEL or CentOS or similar).
• In depth understanding of OS, systems security, encryption, and networking stack and interfaces.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (server, storage, clustering, etc...), architecture, and L2/L3
networking
• Experience with OpenStack Deployment & Administration
• Understanding of cloud computing and virtualization concepts.
• Experience with Open-Source Virtualization (KVM, OpenStack, etc)
• Experience with OpenStack- based platforms (Architecture, Design, Deployment and
Administration)
• Hands on Experience with OpenStack (Nova, Swift, Glance, Keystone, Neutron, etc...)
• Experience in various VNF Life Cycle Management design and Orchestrators (VNF Onboarding,
Service Chaining, etc...)
• Understanding of the capabilities and services of one or more cloud infrastructure providers (i.e.,
AWS, GCP, Azure) and the ability to build solutions based on these capabilities.
• Experience creating automated scripts using Python/Shell preferred.
• Knowledge of Configuration Automation – (Ansible, Terraform, etc...)

• Experience with current development technologies, methodologies and workflows including
CI/CD, Agile development (Scrum), Git, Gerrit, Jenkins are preferred.
• Proven self-starter who can initiate tasks and follow up to completion to produce high quality
results in a timely manner

• Strong verbal and written communication, as well as team collaboration skills combined with the
willingness to learn.
