Job Description: Program Manager, Cyber Defense and Vulnerability Management 

The Program Manager of Managed Threat Detection & Response (MTDR), Integrated Vulnerability Management will lead, strategize, and execute programs that strengthen the organization’s cybersecurity posture. This role is responsible for overseeing vulnerability assessment, mitigation, and cyber defense initiatives, ensuring that the organization’s critical assets are protected against emerging cyber threats. The Program Manager will collaborate across teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive efforts to minimize security risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Program Management: Manage a comprehensive cybersecurity program that aligns with organizational goals, focusing on proactive threat detection, defense mechanisms, and continuous improvement of security posture.
• Cyber Defense Operations: Lead cyber defense initiatives, such as incident response, intrusion detection, threat intelligence, threat hunting & content management.
• Vulnerability Management: Oversee end-to-end vulnerability management processes, including identification, assessment, prioritization, and remediation of vulnerabilities across applications, systems, and networks.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security gaps and develop risk mitigation plans to safeguard sensitive information and systems.
• Policy and Compliance: Ensure all cybersecurity and vulnerability management practices comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Develop policies and best practices that enhance organizational security.
• Program Reporting: Create reports and presentations to communicate program status, progress, and risk to leadership. Develop metrics to measure the effectiveness of MTDR and vulnerability management efforts.
• Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor the team of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance, training, and career development opportunities. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Customer & Wipro stakeholders to ensure alignment of security measures with business objectives. Communicate security risks, incidents, and mitigation strategies to leadership and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 14-16 years in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in Cyber security program management.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or PMP are highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Project Management Skills: Proven experience managing complex cybersecurity projects, timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
• Communication and Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus on security initiatives.
• Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with regulatory & industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, MITRE)
• Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps practices
• Knowledge of emerging cyber threats and proactive defense tactics
