Key Responsibilities:

1. Azure Security Solutions:
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions for Azure services, including identity and access management, network security, data protection, and threat detection.
- Utilize Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and other Azure security tools to enhance the security posture.
2. Identity and Access Management (IAM):
- Configure and manage Azure Active Directory (AAD), implementing role-based access controls (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and conditional access policies.
- Establish secure identity and access controls for Azure resources and applications.
3. Network Security:
- Implement network security controls using Azure Network Security Groups (NSGs), Application Security Groups (ASGs), Azure Firewall, and Azure Virtual Network features.
- Design and manage secure network architecture to prevent unauthorized access.
4. Data Protection and Encryption:
- Implement data encryption mechanisms for data at rest and in transit using Azure services like Azure Disk Encryption, Azure SQL Database Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), and Azure Key Vault.
- Leverage Azure Information Protection to classify and protect sensitive data.
5. Threat Detection and Incident Response:
- Monitor and analyse security alerts from Azure Security Center and other tools to identify and respond to security threats.
- Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and mitigate security incidents effectively.

 

6. Security Compliance and Auditing:
- Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and compliance measures in line with industry regulations.
- Participate in security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance assessments.

 

7. Security Automation and Scripting:
- Develop scripts and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools to streamline security tasks and configurations.

8. Documentation and Training:

- Document security configurations, procedures, and best practices for internal reference and knowledge sharing.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on Azure security concepts and practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a senior security engineer
• Proficiency in Dutch (C1 or C2 level) and English
• Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AZ-500/MS-500, SC-100, SC-300 etc.
• Strong experience with Azure services, security tools, and cloud security best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and configuration tasks.
• Understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, routing, and subnetting.
• Familiarity with identity protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect) and security frameworks.
