Role Description:

We are looking to have a good profile with very good expertise on NetBackup, NetBackup Appliance and Data Domain.

• NetBackup Installation & configuration (L3)
• Perform regular system maintenance; Incident solving; Change implementation; Patch management; Analyze/solve performance and security issues Complex backup scheduling maintenance also includes helping solve complex problems related to operating system; databases; middleware or applications teams.
• Hands-on experience on Veritas Appliances and Data Domain appliances.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of SAN Client backup (Fiber Transport)
• Clear understanding on SLP and Vault
• Upgrading and patching the Backup servers
• Oracle/SQL/ESX/NDMP Integration with Netbackup
• Managing Internal Database of NetBackup
• Should also have good understanding on TCP/IP concepts.
• Need to have clear understanding on SAN Infrastructure and Architecture.
• Strong experience on Linux and scripting (preferably: shell, python, puppet)
• Understanding of functional requirements and translation of business requirements into technical specifications.
