Job Purpose:

 

ü  SES will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, vendors, external partners, OEMs, wholesalers, distributors and manufactures to ensure the smooth procurement of goods and services for Shipskart.

ü  The role involves overseeing vendor performance, negotiating contracts, and optimizing vendor relationships to achieve cost savings, quality improvements, and operational efficiencies.

Key Result Areas:

 

The purpose of the role is to deliver the following KRAs:

1.                 Develop and implement vendor management strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery performance.

2.                 Identify and evaluate potential vendors, suppliers, and external partners based on the Company’s needs and criteria.

3.                 Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing, and contracts with vendors to secure a favourable agreement for the company.

4.                 Vendor training in the use of RFQ parser.

5.                 Mediate and resolve any dispute or conflict that may arise between the company and its vendors.

6.                 Ensure that vendors adhere to the company's ethical standards, codes of conduct, and relevant regulations.

7.                 Ascertain that vendor KYCs have been properly and timely completed.

8.                 Facilitate the smooth onboarding for new vendors while ensuring that they understand the company's expectations and requirements.

9.                 Effectively manage the offboarding process for vendors when necessary.

10.            Collaborate with internal teams, such as procurement, legal, finance, and operations to ensure seamless vendor management and alignment with the company's overall strategies.

11.            Ensure grievance redressals of vendors (with respect to RFQ parser) being escalated to the technical department.

12.            Monitor costs associated with vendor relationships while simultaneously seeking opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality or service standards.

13.            Share 1 case study per month with the Reporting Authorities to address concerns of serious character.

14.            Compliance towards Code of Conduct from the HR perspective (that Includes but not limited to People/Vendor management & self-conduct through timely and proper correspondence/interaction, absenteeism and other such regulatory directives of HR as agreed upon on joining the organisation).

15.            Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.

16.            Maintain proper reports of the compliance towards the delegated KPIs for quarterly evaluation.

Educational, Personal and Experience prerequisite:

-                     Should be a graduate in any discipline.

-                     Should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Global Vendor Management.

-                     Should be well versed with Advanced Microsoft Office Applications. Should have preferably worked on procurement software in the past.

-                     Should have FMCG (Grocery) knowledge / procurement experience.

-                     Should possess excellent written and verbal skills.

-                     The preferred companies with background experience may entail Shipping Companies, Ship Chandlers and other logistics companies where extended work hours are a part of regular working.
