We need Product Designers (or an Engineering Project Manager), who has an eye-towards designing products which are Environment friendly (hence eco-design). Ideally that person should have an Engineering background (ideally Mechanical Engineering) and someone who is good in making summarized Presentation.

Scope
Environmental Compliance Project Engineer to support Apple’s various Environmental objectives and initiatives, considering current and future key global regulatory requirements.
Your work requires you to closely partner with Product Environmental Engineers/Program managers and Subject Matter Experts to support initiatives on energy efficiency, sustainable
materials, and phase-outs of hazardous substances.

Note: Need someone who has worked in consumer electronics industry for this role NOT Oil, Gas or other industries.

Requirements
• AS/BS degree in Engineering or Science preferred with 3+ years of relevant industry experience
• Experience with performing product teardown and creating detail-oriented SOPs
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Quip) is preferred
• Proactive and highly self-motivated; good critical thinking capabilities and strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and thrives in both collaborative and independent work environments
 
Success Criteria/Definition of Done
1. Validate materials and products with a focus on biocompatibility, energy, packaging, and eco-design to support product development and compliance systems.
2. Support eco-design regulations by working with Apple Care teams on physical product teardowns and develop SOPs by working with Apple Care team for module repairability. Specifically on EU Battery regulation starting Feb 2027.
3. Partner with internal FA labs in person with hands on root cause analysis on materials, modules, and systems to investigate issues and drive collaboration on corrective actions
4. Partner with internal Apple teams to gather data requirements and execute compliance strategies.
5. Ensure environmental regulation compliance across all internal Apple systems and product development processes.
6. Support root cause investigations by working Environment Compliance product engineers
7. Lead complex projects with tight timelines, ensuring all environmental readiness milestones are achieved.
8. Utilize PLM tools and apply deep knowledge of manufacturing principles and environmental impact assessments.
9. Drive automation and SOP creation to enhance routine compliance tasks and analysis processes.

Salary Range: $63,400-$130,000 a year
