Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Team Lead with a strong background in systems engineering and administration. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS security and a proven track record of managing complex systems operations. You will lead a team of engineers, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure while collaborating with cross functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Linux, Windows, AWS, and database management expertise for system operations.
- Apply networking knowledge for seamless infrastructure communication.
- Actively participate in incident management, ensuring rapid response and recovery in case of system failures or outages.
- Plan for future growth and expansion of systems to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Development, QA, Network, and Security.
- Support backup and disaster recovery strategies, including testing and documentation of procedures.
- Monitor systems using tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus/Grafana and proactively respond to alerts or performance degradations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proven system engineering and administration experience.
- 7+ years of experience with Linux, Windows, AWS, and database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo, and Redis).
- Strong knowledge of AWS security practices and protocols.
- Solid networking knowledge including IP fundamentals, and experience with DHCP and DNS network services.
- Some automation experience supporting systems administration, not limited to Ansible and/or Python scripting to perform standard operations.
- Strong problem solving, Schedule(Time) Management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability to new technologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in hybrid cloud or multi cloud environments is a strong advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
