Key Responsibilities

  • Independently execute structural, modal, harmonic analysis of engine components with first time right and on time project deliverables. Suggest modifications in the design depending upon FEA results, manufacturing feasibility and cost. 
  • Liaise with design and test engineers to achieve high quality project deliverables with correct input for simulation.
  • Identify Opportunities for cost reduction / VAVE.
  • Correlate the FEA results with test/experiment/field failure data to establish state of art simulation models and practices. Simulate field failures and suggest corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with CAE head to develop best FEA practices, test to FEA correlation, automation, innovation, and optimization to increase the efficiency of the FEA processes.
  • Contribute in paper publication in national and international journals/forums.
1. Education & Professional Qualification 
  • BE/B.Tech (ME/M.Tech Mechanical/ Production (Machine design, CAD-CAM)- Preferred)
  • Min 5 Years to 10 Years of experience in mechanical Design & Development activities (Preferred IC engine component and system simulation)
2. Knowledge/ Experience 
  • In depth technical knowledge in FEA, solid mechanics, Vibrations, mechanical design fundamentals, fatigue life evaluation, etc.
  • Expert in FEA commercial softwares such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, HYPERMESH.
  • Simulation data management, Knowledge sharing, team player.
  • Time management, High quality CAE report preparation.
  • FEA results explanatory skills.
  • Should have hands on the automation scripts for simulation coding.
  • Topology/Topography Optimization through simulation software.
  • Strong communication and inter personal skills.
  • Should own the results and follow up with design and testing teams.
  • Rigor to drive paper publication in international forum and innovation.
  • Prior experience in internal combustion engine component and system simulation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
